This record could change lives. That's a bold claim I know but hopefully it's true. Please read on and I'll tell you about it.

Just over 10 years ago I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a rare form of blood cancer. There is currently no cure but the treatment I receive from our brilliant NHS, and the team of incredible individuals that care for me, has even made it possible to forget I am ill for large periods of time. This has been invaluable.—

  • The Music

You can listen to one minute clips from all the tracks on the album in this SoundCloud playlist.

Sleeve Art

Fraser Taylor

The artwork is a collaboration between myself and my good friend, Fraser Taylor. It’s difficult to do Fraser justice in a few words so all I will say is go and have a look at his website and see for yourself. Fraser has given his time, energy and ideas to this project for free.

HAXTON STUDIO

The record

Seabass Vinyl

The record will be manufactured here in Scotland by the wonderful Seabass Vinyl who have also been incredibly generous with their time, knowledge and enthusiasm as well as their pricing of production. Stardelta Mastering have also been extremely generous in making sure the tracks sound the best they can.

Huge thanks to Rory Hamilton, AKA Hammer, for all of his support and advice on this project. Rory has also kindly offered to also host pre-sale of this record on his Remmah Label BandCamp page, so if you prefer you can get a copy there, as well as copies of all the label's other excellent releases and merch.

Videography

Steven MB Jones

And a massive thanks to big tall Steve who had the idea to interview me about the project and made me do it even though I am not a fan of my face or voice. Check out Steve's work below.

I’m sure there are simpler ways to raise money for a charity but I wanted to do something where you (the donor) could actually hold an object in your hands. Something real that has meaning and its own value beyond what it costs to make. Like most records the music here reflects experiences. It’s not a story, or even chronological, but there are words, textures, tones and sounds that refer to moments and feelings along the way. I also hope that it is in some way universal, that you can find something in the music that means something to you.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. And thank you to everyone that has supported me in this project.
